WyldLife is our program specifically designed for middle school students. We partner with Young Life which is designed only for those attending high school.

Portland West Young Life and WyldLife are introducing hundreds of kids a week to Jesus Christ at its 9 area high school clubs and its all-area middle school WyldLife club drawing from five middle schools.  

Week after week there are heartwarming testimonies from kids about how their lives have been changed when a Young Life or WyldLife leader have come alongside them. When they have been invited to Club to have a great time and hear about the Lord.

The People of Portland West

Volunteer leaders are the backbone of the Young Life mission. 

Portland West has 80 volunteer leaders committed to encouraging, listening to, and being a support to their teenage friends.   Leaders provide kids they are loved by spending time with them at school activities and meeting them where they live, modeling trust, respect, and responsibility.

Portland West Young Life's Committee is made up of 24 volunteers.  The Committee supports the ministry with prayer, caring for its leaders, and raising 100 percent of the area's operating budget.  About 85 percent of the area's funding comes from local donor support.  Other sources of support are corporations, churches, and endowments.
